Radonova has received the Finnish Radiation Safety Authority STUK’s approval of the SPIRIT radon sensor for use in radon measurement. STUK’s approval means that SPIRIT meets the requirements that Finnish law places on the safety and quality of radon measuring instruments. It also means that Radonova’s customers in Finland can now use a reliable instrument that is approved by the Finnish regulatory authority.
“STUK’s approval is an important step forward and proof that SPIRIT holds a very high standard in terms of reliability and safety. The Finnish Radiation Safety Authority has a very good reputation; not only in Finland, but also in other countries. It is therefore a strong international reference regarding ionizing radiation – in particular radon measurements. It also makes the approval important as we continue to introduce SPIRIT to a global market,” says José-Luis Gutiérrez Villanueva, Radon Measurement Specialist at Radonova.
“The market for radon instruments is developing rapidly. Approvals from STUK give customers a guarantee that the instrument meets a high standard and that the results are reliable. STUK is consistently very professional and has a very well-established process for approval. We are both happy and proud that they have now approved SPIRIT,” concludes José-Luis Gutiérrez Villanueva.
