Radon inter-comparison tests 2013-2017
The policy of Radonova Laboratories is to take part in various international and national radon intercomparison tests in order to monitor, maintain and improve our measurement quality. During 2013-2017 our laboratory participated in several large
intercomparison tests. The tests and the test results are charted and interpreted below.
PHE Intercomparison of Passive Radon Detectors:large international inter-comparison with more than 50 participating laboratories, exposures were made at five different radon doses.
Intercomparison for passive radon monitors, Bundesamt für Strahlenschutz (BFS):inter-comparison test in Germany at four different exposures.
PSI-Vergleichsmessung:test at the Paul Scherrer Institut (PSI), Switzerland.
The tests are summarised in the table. For the tests at Bundesamt für Strahlenschutz and PHE, the average absolute difference and SD are given. In all tests, the difference between the actual and measured exposures were low. The standard deviation is also low in all the tests, and the results show that Landauer Nordic can perform radon measurements with very high accuracy.
